PETITION 

Now come the petitioners, a group of Halsoft customers, who want to here make known their dissatisfaction with the manner in which the Owners and or Administrators of Halsoft.com manage their chat site: 

Let the management and ownership of Halsoft know now that we are urgently suggesting to them that they make immediate changes in the way Halsoft operates or face the prospect of losing many valuable customers. We wish to point out that we are all paying customers and feel that it is our right, if not our duty to make suggestions that would benefit both Halsoft and its users. All of us want Halsoft to continue and thrive and be a place where we can meet with our friends, some of whom we have known for years. For many of us, Halsoft is an important part of our lives, but there is a growing dissatisfaction with the way we are treated, given the fact that we are all paying customers. We believe that were some or all of our ideas be put into affect, Halsoft would not only become a better place for us, but also a more profitable enterprise for its owners. We feel that should our suggestions be acted upon, more people would sign up, fewer people that are currently signed up would leave and Halsoft would bring in more money. Isnt that why people are in business in the first place, to make money?

At some point during the inception of Halsoft, it was decided that it would be a family chat community. This was an error. We are ADULTS, and demand to be respected as such, even though we might choose to engage in very un-adult like behavior. This is what is known as ADULTS AT PLAY. We cannot understand why Halsoft has chosen to insist that it is a family chat community when it obviously is not. We wonder what child would be able to chat in Halsoft? What sort of parent would allow their child to chat unsupervised in an obviously adult community, and further more, why would any child WANT to? What child could AFFORD to?

The simple fact is that KIDS DONT PAY! Obviously its ADULTS that are paying for this service whether its a child or a parent using it but I ask you again, what right thinking parent would want their child using it? I myself have only seen one minor in Halsoft (as far as I know) and this was a seventeen year old girl with an Avatar that said: Will Cyber For Gammon

So please, lets stop pretending that Halsoft is a family chat community. It is not. 

We feel that something is wrong when there are Guides roaming about worrying about swear words and bare breasts. Lets make this clear. Nude Avatars and swear words are NOT the problem on the internet. SEXUAL PREDITORS and Malicious Hackers are the problem on the internet but apparently Halsoft is more concerned with the former rather than the later. If Halsoft is truly concerned about children, it needs to reprioritize.

 

Listed below are just a few but certainly not all of the suggestions we have for making Halsoft a better place for both its paying customers and its owners. 

1. Upon sign in, make the adult chat rooms the default rooms. Assume that if a child is using the internet, they have a responsible adult supervising them and making sure that they point and click their way to the Halsoft Family Chat rooms when signing in. If what the Guides are always telling us is true, (that there are LOTS of kids in Halsoft) then there should be plenty of other children there for them to chat with. Likewise any adults that might be offended by the sight of a nude avatar or a four-letter word might be able to find their way there. Reprioritize.

 

2. Get the Guides priorities in order. Tell them to stop worrying about such harmless things as swear words and nude avatars and start to look out for people in chat that are there to do actual harm or make threats against other chatters. I cant tell you how many times Ive had women tell me that they are being stalked and cant get any help from Halsoft Guides. Again, reprioritize.

 

3. Stop the abusive behavior conducted by at least some of the Guides. We simply will no longer tolerate being treated like children by these glorified room monitors. Ether fix them or make them go away. We didnt like these people in the 2^nd grade and we still dont like them. We now have Guides carrying out personal vendettas against Halsoft CUSTOMERS. We cannot tolerate this in any form. Keep them in the family chat rooms, if at all.

 

4. Backgammon is a very important part of Halsoft Chat. Fix the Gammon game! Its terrible! Of course we want a backgammon program that reflects as closely as possible a real game, not a game where one player or the other gets one double six after another. This game program is terribly flawed and must be fixed. Even better, create a game modeled after a site such as GamesGrid.com, where players can maintain rank if they choose to do so.

 

5. Create a means where we the PAYING CUSTOMERS of Halsoft can maintain a running dialog with the owners and managers of Halsoft. We must have our voices heard and we need a forum for this. We want to be assured that we are being listened to and that our suggestions are being taken seriously and acted upon.

 

6. Keep foremost in your minds that we the PAYING CUSTOMERS of Halsoft chat have a VOTE and we VOTE WITH OUR WALLETS! We are well aware that we have MANY OTHER OPTIONS on where we chose to spend our money and time on the internet. New chat sites are springing up every day, some of which have all the features of Halsoft chat, and for little or no money. Be advised that although you have treated us as children thus far, to continue to do so places your business in peril. Your customers are fleeing to other sites. Instead of doing the right thing, and making Halsoft a better chat site for its PAYING CUSTOMERS, the only thing we see you doing about this is to create new VP Build files that wont work on cloned sites. This is of course futile. The older versions of VP Build are out there and work just fine thank you. Just because you have up to this point treated us as if we are stupid children who need be told what is good for them doesnt mean that you can continue to do so. Consider yourself given fair warning.

 

We urge all paying customers of Halsoft chat who agree with the above to please sign below. We are on the honor system here. We know that many of you have many names and could sign in multiple times and make this petition look far more formidable but we ask that you not do this. We ask that you sign with your MAIN NAME ONLY. Obviously, it is very important that we maintain a high degree of integrity, please help us to do that.
